Passport Photo processes every photo on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded, and the app has no account, no ads and no analytics. Take a photo or import one, and the app finds your face, checks head size and eye position against the rules for the document you picked, then replaces the background so it matches. A checklist shows exactly what passes and what does not before you export anything.

How to use it

Pick a document type from the home screen list.
Tap the camera to take a photo, or "Choose Photo" to import an existing one from your library.
The app analyzes your face, frames it to the document's spec, and replaces the background. A checklist below the preview shows pass/fail for head size, eye line and centering.
Tap Save or Share. The first time, this offers the one-time unlock; after that it saves the photo and a print sheet to Photos, or opens the share sheet.

Frequently asked questions

How do I restore my purchase?

Open the About screen (the info icon on the home screen) and tap "Restore purchase." This re-checks your entitlement with Apple — useful after reinstalling the app or switching to a new iPhone with the same Apple ID.

Does anything leave my iPhone?

No. Face detection, background replacement and cropping all run on-device with Apple's Vision and Core Image frameworks. There is no server, no account, and no analytics SDK of any kind.

Why does my photo still show its original background?

Background replacement needs your iPhone's Neural Engine. If it isn't available for a particular photo, the app says so honestly in the Background section instead of guessing, and suggests retaking the photo against a plain, light wall.

Will this guarantee my passport application is accepted?

Passport Photo checks your photo against each country's published photo rules to help you get it right the first time. The passport, visa or ID office that reviews your application makes the final decision, so also check your application's own photo guidance before you submit.

What does the one-time purchase include?

Do you use my camera or photo library for anything else?

No. Camera access is used only to capture the photo you're taking right now, and Photos access is add-only for saving your result — the app never reads your existing photo library beyond the one image you explicitly pick.
